SWARCH
Hawthorn
Concept:
Swinburne University required an Architectural student hub and decided to reimagine levels 5-8 of the AMDC building for it. The creation of Swarch was then introduced, creating vibrant workspaces, offices, lounges, collaboration areas, and a new workshop all in one area to motivate design and creativity.
BIM LEADERSHIP:
As the BIM Leader, I was able to use my knowledge of Revit and Rhino, to convert and combine files using cloud-based documents. This also required me to create a Working Drawing Set, complete with floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, structural plans, elevations, sections, and details.
2025
Project Length:
Two Months
Programs Used:
Revit, Rhinocerous, Grasshopper, BEAM, Adobe Indesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Lumion, and Twinmotion
THE IDEA
Swinburne hypothetically required a new architectural centre at the universities Hawthorn Campus in the AMDC building.
The faux-company that I was working with decided that open collaboration for students and natural light was the best way to learn. We decided to use these principles as our framework.
